South Africa Approves 71 Companies for Trusted Employer Scheme

On 5 November, the Department of Home Affairs confirmed that 71 of the 138 companies that applied had been admitted to Phase II of the Trusted Employer Scheme. Successful companies gain simplified visa procedures and reduced administrative requirements to recruit international skills. No programme budget was disclosed. The decision creates opportunities for immigration advisers, HR consultants and corporate service providers.
