Russia's Rusal Agrees to Bauxite and Alumina Joint Ventures in Ghana

On 29 October 2026, Russia's Rusal agreed with Ghana's Integrated Aluminium Development Corporation to develop two joint ventures targeting the Nyinahin bauxite deposit, estimated to contain more than 100 million tonnes of bauxite. The proposed operations target annual production capacity of up to 5 million tonnes of bauxite and 1.2 million tonnes of alumina. The financial investment value of the joint ventures was not disclosed.
